Age Limit

The minimum and maximum age limits for the various posts are as follows:

1. Sub Inspector of Police (UA) in Assam Police: 20 to 26 years
2. Sub Inspector (AB) for Assam Commando Battalions: 20 to 24 years
3. Constable for Assam Commando Battalions: 18 to 21 years
4. Constables (AB/UB) in Assam Police: 18 to 25 years
5. Driver Constable / Constable / Boatman: 18 to 25 years
6. Grade IV (Assam Commando Battalions): 18 to 25 years
7. Grade IV (Assam Police / DGCD & CGHG): 18 to 40 years

Age Relaxation

There is age relaxation for candidates in specific categories as per Government rules:

• SC, ST (P) & ST (H): 5 years
• OBC / MOBC: 3 years

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed 10th, 12th, ITI, 8th, 6th, or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, or equivalent.
