SAI Recruitment 2025 for Head Coach and Strength & Conditioning Expert-Lead

The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced job openings for the roles of Head Coach and Strength & Conditioning Expert-Lead. Motivated and skilled candidates are encouraged to apply for these positions. A total of three vacancies are available under this recruitment drive.

For the Strength & Conditioning Expert role, applicants must be under 45 years of age. Selected candidates will receive a salary between Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 150,000 per month.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must fulfill the specified qualifications and experience criteria for each role:

Head Coach

Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:

• Diploma in Coaching from SAI/NS NIS or any recognized Indian/foreign university.
• Representation of India in Olympics, World Cup, or World Championship.
• Certificate Course from the relevant National/International Federation (Mandatory).
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of coaching experience.

Alternatively:

• Experience in coaching Senior/Junior Indian teams.
• Recognition through Dronacharya, Arjuna, or Dhyan Chand Awards.
• Proven track record of producing medalists in international competitions.
• Government employees (Central/State/PSU) may apply as per the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) guidelines.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in designing and implementing high-performance coaching programs.
• Expertise in modern coaching trends and technological applications.
• Experience in mentoring and training other coaches.
• Leadership qualities to foster a winning culture.
• Strong management and strategic planning capabilities.

Strength & Conditioning Expert-Lead

Candidates must hold any of the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science, Sports Science, or Sports Coaching. OR
• Any Graduation with ASCA Level-1 or above, CSCS, UK SCA accreditation, Diploma in Fitness Training, or a Government-certified fitness training course.

Age Limit

• Strength & Conditioning Expert-Lead: Maximum age 45 years as of the application deadline.

Selection Process

For Head Coach:

The selection will be based on eligibility criteria and evaluation by the selection committee.

For Strength & Conditioning Expert-Lead:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on an interview.
