The North Eastern Council (NEC) Secretariat in Shillong has announced a promising opportunity through its recent employment notification. Applications are invited for the recruitment of 13 Junior Consultants in various disciplines. The recruitment is for the position of Junior Consultant, with the following distribution across disciplines:

• Tourism & Industries: 2
• Science & Technology: 1

• T&C: 1
• Agri & Allied (Aquaculture & Fish Processing): 2

Remuneration

Successful candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs. 37,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Age Limit: Minimum 25 years and a maximum of 45 years as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Finance: Post Graduate degree in MBA (Finance)/Post Graduate degree in M/Com (Finance)/ Post Graduate degree in MCA (IT) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Tourism: Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in the field of Tourism & Travel with a strong knowledge of NEC functioning and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Industries: Masters in Arts preferably Sociology with a strong knowledge of NEC functioning and a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Science & Technology: M.Tech/M.Sc. Tech/M.Sc in Earth Sciences (Geology/Geophysics), M.Tech/M.Sc in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics, B.Tech/B.E in various fields, and M.Sc. in Physics/Biotechnology/Environmental Science.
  • Planning: BA/B.Sc in Economics or B.Sc in Statistics/Mathematics or B.Sc (IT) or BCA or BE (Computer Science) with relevant experience.
  • HRD &E: Post Graduate/Master degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Central Govt. office.
  • IFC&WM: Master’s Degree in Social Science with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a Central Government office.
  • T&C: B-tech/BE in Civil Engineering.
  • Agri & Allied (Aquaculture & Fish Processing, Applied Aquaculture): Masters Degree in Fisheries Science from a recognized University/Institution with relevant experience.
