The Ministry of Communication has announced a recruitment drive for filling the positions of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Telecom Assistant (TA) under Group C in the office of the Special DGT, DoT, Tamil Nadu LSA. Candidates will be appointed on a Deputation Basis and posted at Chennai and Coimbatore.

As per the official notification, selected candidates will be appointed initially for one year, with the possibility of extension on administrative grounds or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.

The maximum age limit for applicants is 56 years as of the closing date for receiving applications. The recruitment process will be based on the selection criteria decided by the Competent Authority. There are 04 vacancies for these positions, and the salary range for eligible candidates is between Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 92,300 per month. Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Communication Recruitment 2025:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC):

• Officers from Central Government, State Government, Union Territories, autonomous or statutory organizations, PSUs, Universities, or recognized Research Institutions.
• Should be holding an analogous post in a regular capacity or have at least 3 years of service in Level-1 in the pay matrix (Rs. 18,000 – 56,900) or equivalent in the parent department.

Telecom Assistant (TA):

• Officers from the same entities (Central Government, State Government, etc.) holding an analogous post on a regular basis or having at least 5 years of service in Level-4 in the pay matrix (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100) or equivalent, or 10 years of service in Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100).

Qualification and Experience for Ministry of Communication Recruitment 2025:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC):

• Must have passed the 12th examination from a recognized board.
• Typing speed of 35 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer.

Telecom Assistant (TA):

• A 3-year Engineering Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related fields, or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electronics or Computer Science.
