CTET or Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a national-level examination conducted by CBSE to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in schools across India. For the primary level (Classes I-V), candidates must have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). For the elementary level (Classes VI-VIII), candidates must have a graduation degree with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). CTET Exam Date 2024 Out

Along with the CTET January 2024 Notification, CBSE has also announced the CTET Exam Date 2024 along with the complete schedule for the exam day. As per the CTET Notification, the CTET 2024 Exam is to be conducted on 24th January 2024 for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Paper 1 will be conducted in the morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 noon, and CTET Paper 2 will be conducted in the evening shift from 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

CTET January 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be well aware of all the CTET Eligibility Criteria required to appear for the CTET 2024 January Exam. The eligibility criteria such as educational qualification are described below as mentioned in CTET January Notification 2024.

• Graduation and passing or appearing in the first year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the first year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
• Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the first year of 4-year B.A/B. Sc. Ed or B.A.Ed/ B. Sc. Ed.
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
