POWERGRID is looking for dynamic and qualified candidates to fill the position of Field Supervisor (Safety) under a fixed-tenure arrangement. As per the official notification, there are 28 vacancies available for this post. Candidates applying for this role should not exceed the upper age limit of 29 years. The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay band of Rs. 23,000-3%-1,05,000/- along with Industrial DA, HRA, and perks at 35% of Basic Pay. The selection will be based on a Screening Test, and candidates who pass this test will be ranked based on merit. The exam will last for one hour, and the test centers will be located in Delhi NCR, Bhopal, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati, and Mumbai.

Candidates interested in applying must have a full-time diploma in Engineering in one of the following fields: Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, Power Engineering (Electrical), Civil, Mechanical, Fire Technology, and Safety. The diploma should be from a recognized Technical Board/Institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, candidates must have at least one year of post-qualification experience in safety implementation at work sites.

This engagement is entirely contractual and will last for 24 months or until the completion of the projects, whichever is earlier. Experience Requirement:

• At least one year of post-qualification experience in safety implementation at work sites.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection process will involve a Screening Test:

• Screening Test Structure:
  • The test will last for 1 hour.
  • The paper consists of two sections:

• Aptitude Test Topics:
  • General English: Articles, Prepositions, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Synonyms/Antonyms, Jumbled Sentences.
  • Reasoning: Data Interpretation, Coding and Decoding, Logic, Series Completion, Puzzles, Pattern Completion.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Speed & Distance, Profit & Loss, Interest, Percentage, Average, Mensuration, Algebra, Probability, LCM & HCF, Numbers.
  • General Awareness: Social Science, Science, Current Affairs, General Knowledge.
• The Screening Test will be conducted in Hindi or English.
• The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the Screening Test.
• Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise for empanelment as per available vacancies.

TENURE OF EMPLOYMENT

• The engagement will be temporary and contractual for an initial period of 2 years.
• The contract may be extended for one year at a time, for a maximum of 5 years, based on work requirements.
• This contract does not provide any right to permanent employment in POWERGRID.

SALARY STRUCTURE

• Annual Increment: 3% increase per year.
