UPSC RECRUITMENT 2025: APPLY ONLINE FOR 357 VACANCIES BEFORE THE DEADLINE

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a new notification inviting online applications for the post of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Interested and eligible candidates can apply before the deadline.

UPSC RECRUITMENT 2025: ASSISTANT COMMANDANTS (GROUP A)

UPSC has announced a total of 357 vacancies for the post of Assistant Commandants in CAPF, which includes Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Both male and female candidates with a Bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply.

AGE LIMIT

Applicants must be at least 20 years old and not exceed 25 years as of August 1, 2025. This means candidates should be born between August 2, 2000, and August 1, 2005.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification as per the University Grants Commission Act, 1956.

SELECTION PROCESS

The selection process includes the following stages:

1. Written Examination – Scheduled for August 3, 2025
   • Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence (250 Marks) – Multiple-choice questions in English and Hindi.
   • Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (200 Marks) – Essays can be written in English or Hindi, but all other components will be in English.
2. Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Test
3. Medical Standards Test
4. Interview/Personality Test

EXAM CENTERS

The exam will be conducted at various designated centers across India. Candidates should check the official UPSC notification for a complete list of exam centers.

APPLICATION FEE

• Fee: Rs. 200/-
• Exemptions: Female/ SC/ ST candidates are not required to pay the fee.
• Payment Modes: SBI branch payment, Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or Internet Banking.

Candidates need to apply online through the official UPSC website before the deadline. First-time applicants must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process, which remains valid for a lifetime. Once registered, candidates can proceed to fill out the online application form.
