Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit:
   • General: 20-30 years
   • Reserved categories: Relaxation applicable (e.g., SC/ST: up to 35 years, Departmental Quota: up to 47 years).
2. Education:
   • Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
3. Language:
   • Proficiency in Tamil (reading, writing, speaking).

Physical Standards

For Men:

• OC/BC/MBC: Height: 170 cm; Chest: 81 cm (Minimum expansion: 5 cm).
• SC/ST: Height: 167 cm; Chest: Same as above.

For Women/Transgender:

• OC/BC/MBC: Height: 159 cm.
• SC/ST: Height: 157 cm.

Selection Process

1. Written Examination
   • Part I: Tamil Eligibility Test (40% qualifying).
   • Part II: General Knowledge, Psychology, Law, and related topics.
2. Physical Tests
   • PET, PMT, and endurance tests (exempted for some categories).
3. Viva-Voce
   • 10 Marks.
4. Special Marks
   • Up to 5 marks for achievements in NCC, NSS, Sports, or Medals in National Police Duty Meet.
