Exam Date

SSC has notified about the Tier I CHSL Exam Date 2024 via a separate notification. Because of 18th Lok Sabha Election exam has been re-scheduled. Candidates preparing for the CHSL 2024 must be acquainted with the exam date. SSC CHSL Tier II Exam Date 2024 will be notified later.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the recruitment process of SSC CHSL 2024 must ensure that they meet all the eligibility criteria. If not fulfilled the application form of the aspirant will be rejected. The eligibility criteria include conditions like Educational Qualification, Age limit & Nationality.

SSC CHSL Nationality

An applicant must be an Indian citizen to be eligible for this recruitment process or a citizen of:

• Nepal
• Bhutan or
• Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, Vietnam and East African Countries (intending to reside in India)

SSC CHSL Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the below-mentioned minimum Educational Qualification for the valid candidature for the positions of Data Entry Operator(DEO), Lower Division Clerk(LDC), and Junior Secretariat Assistant(JSA).

SSC CHSL Age Limit

The SSC CHSL Age Limit is set, as the applicant’s age must fall between 18 years and 27 years. The cut-off date for the age limit is 01 August 2024. The Staff Selection Commission provides age relaxation for the various categories candidates, the details of which has been mentioned below.

Application Fee

To complete the registration process eligible candidates have to pay the application fee. The amount of the fees depend on the category to which a candidate belongs to. Students belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-SM Category as well as female candidates are exempted from paying the application fees whereas others have to pay an amount of Rs.100.

Selection Process

The SSC CHSL Selection Process has two-tier examinations, both are Computer Based, they are:

• Tier I (Pre)
• Tier II (Mains)

Note: The Tier II Stage include objective test, skill test, and typing test. The Skill Test is for the Data Entry Operator(DEO) and Typing Test is for LDC (Lower Division Clerk), and JSA(Junior Secretariat Assistant).

Negative Marking Scheme

To prevent the candidates from wild guessing and biasedness in the exam, there is a negative marking for the SCC CHSL examination for both tiers.

• For Tier I: Negative marking of 0.50 marks i.e. one-fourth (2 marks for each right answer) for each answer marked wrong.
• For Tier II: 1 mark i.e. one-third (3 marks for each right answer) shall be deducted for each answer marked wrong.
