The Office of the Director of Elementary Education, Assam (DEE), has announced vacancies for the positions of Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher, and Hindi Teacher in Upper Primary (UP) Schools, as well as Assistant Teacher roles in Lower Primary (LP) Schools.

DEE Assam Recruitment 2025: Overview

DEE Assam has opened applications for 4500 teaching positions. The selected candidates for LP Schools and UP Schools will receive a salary within the Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) range of Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 70,000, along with Grade Pay and other allowances, as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019.”

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and should not exceed the following age limits:

• General Category – 40 years
• Ex-Servicemen – 42 years
• OBC/MOBC – 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H) – 45 years
• Persons with Disability (PwD) – 50 years
