Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has announced openings for the roles of Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical, Electrical, and IT) and Assistant. Selected candidates will be stationed at CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU), Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Depending on project needs, they may be relocated to other CSL units. This role requires flexibility as candidates may be assigned to different CSL departments, ships, or projects across India or overseas. There are 09 vacancies available, and applicants must not exceed 35 years of age.

Selection will be based on an Objective Type Test and a Descriptive Type Offline Test totaling 100 marks. Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 400 plus bank charges via online payment methods such as debit/credit cards or internet banking. However, candidates from SC/ST/PwBD categories are exempt from the application fee. The selected applicants will receive a monthly salary of up to Rs. 77,000. Junior Technical Assistant (Electrical)

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.

Junior Technical Assistant (IT)

• Diploma in Computer Engineering/Information Technology with at least 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.

Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (excluding Fine Arts/Performing Arts), Science, Commerce, Computer Applications, or Business Administration with at least 60% marks from a recognized university.

Experience Required for CSL Recruitment 2025:

Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical)

• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in installation and commissioning of mechanical systems in:
  • A Shipyard, or
  • An Engineering Company, or
  • A Government/Semi-Government Establishment.
• Desirable: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, MS Office, etc.

Assistant

• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in office work, ERP updating, data entry, report generation, and record maintenance in:
  • A Shipyard, or
  • An Engineering Company, or
  • A Government/Semi-Government Establishment.
• Desirable: Proficiency in SAP, Tally, MS Office, and Excel.
