Bank Holidays in June 2024, Banks will remain closed for 10 days

Bank Holidays in June 2024: Bank customers should expect longer non-operational days in June 2024. This is due to several religious festivals and the usual weekend closures. All major national banks, such as the flagship State Bank of India (SBI), will be closed for at least 10 days throughout the month.

Bank holidays vary from state to state, but all banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. In addition, they also celebrate three national holidays: Republic Day (January 26), Independence Day (August 15) and Gandhi Jayanti (October 2). Banks are also closed on local festivals.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) determines the bank holiday schedule in collaboration with the state governments. Regional bank holidays vary according to the individual traditions of each state. In this article, we have outlined the holidays based on the states and union territories they belong to.
