AFCAT 1 2024: Important Dates

AFCAT 1 2024 Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online itself. Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) as an examination fee. However, candidates registering for NCC special entry and Meteorology are not required to pay.

AFCAT 1 2024 Notification Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must fulfill the following two criteria to be eligible for the AFCAT 1 2024 Exam:

(a) Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.
(b) Age:

• Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as on 01 January 2025.
• Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as on 01 January 2025.

(c) Educational Qualifications: Detailed educational qualifications for different branches are as follows:

Flying Branch:

• Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in both Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
• Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent from a recognized university.
• Four-year BE/B Tech degree with at least 60% marks.

Ground Duty Technical Branch:

• Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical): Minimum 50% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level and a four-year degree in graduation/integrated or post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university.
• Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics): Minimum 50% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level and a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches:

• Administration: Graduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks with a three-year degree course from a recognized university OR should have cleared section A & B examination with a minimum of 60%.

Weapon System Branch:

• Graduation with a minimum three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
• BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.

Accounts Branch:

• 10+2 education and graduated in specified fields with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent qualification.

Education:

• Successfully completed 10+2 education and obtained a Post-Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline.
